Update prices and station info
Biogaskartan draws from two complementary data sources. You can contribute to one of them — the community price map.
Where does the information come from?
Community map (most stations)
Station locations and prices come from a shared Google Maps layer maintained by volunteer biogas drivers for many years. Anyone with a Google account can edit it.
Operator APIs (e.g. OG Clean Fuels)
Some operators — currently OG Clean Fuels — publish their prices and station coordinates via open data feeds. These are fetched automatically and are always up to date. They cannot be edited here; contact the operator directly if something looks wrong.
How do I update a price?
- 1
Find the station on the map or in the list. If you see a pencil icon ✏️ on the station card, the station is editable via the community map.
- 2
Click the pencil icon. This opens the Google Maps layer with the station marked.
- 3
Sign in with a Google account and edit the "Price Biogas" or "Price CNG Fossil gas" field with the price you saw at the pump (e.g. 29.90).
- 4
Also update "Date for update" with today's date (YYYY-MM-DD). Biogaskartan refreshes data every six hours.
What does the pencil icon on each station mean?
Active pencil — the station comes from the community map. Click to open the map and update the price.
Grey pencil — prices and coordinates are fetched directly from the operator. No editing needed.
